The name was changed because of a juristic dispute with a competitor in Germany. This dispute was about the former name and a slogan in the advertising for the glasses. The distribution of the glasses was never subject at court.

The shapes of the glasses have been designed for their respective beverages. The Sensisplus Technique is an additional feature added to the glasses.
Does any other company make a Sensisplus Glass?

What has Robert Parker to do with the Sensisplus glasses?
In October 2004, Robert Parker led a major tasting at the Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley to raise money for student scholarships (25th Anniversary Celebration of Robert Parker´s Wine Advocate). At this event, the wines were tasted primarily from Sensisplus glasses from Eisch. This was the first public appearance of the Sensisplus Glass worldwide.
How should a comparative tasting between a Sensisplus glass and a standard glass be done?
It is recommended that you use the same size, shape and model of Eisch glass for this comparison, one the "standard" glass, the other the Sensisplus glass. If the Eisch „standard“ glass is not available, use a glass from another manufacturer that is as close as possible in shape, size and volume to the Sensisplus glass. Make sure that the glasses were cleaned the same way: by hand and rinsed in clear warm water.
Open the bottle right before the tasting. Pour the same quantity of wine in both glasses, then wait for a few minutes. Taste the wine in the Sensisplus glass and compare it to the "standard" glass.
Do you have to be a wine expert to taste the difference?
No! Any wine lover will taste a difference! But please be advised that the impact is most dramatic with high quality wines, not inexpensive jug or box wines.
Does this work with red wine only?
No! The Sensisplus Glass works with other wines, too. Ronn Wiegand noted that it worked almost as well with young white wines as with red wines.
Is there a distinguishing mark on each glass?
Yes. Every Sensisplus glass has a specific label on the goblet and a sandblasted mark (wave) on the base of each glass:
How is the "Superior Sensisplus" line produced?
Most of the glasses of the “Superior Sensisplus” line are produced fully automatic with the most advanced technology available. Only the big cognac and the blue water glass are produced by hand. This is why the price of these is higher.
Does the Sensisplus Glass work with other beverages too?
Yes! The Sensisplus glass works very well with many other beverages. Spirits, especially those that have been wood aged (Cognac, Scotch Whisky, Armagnac, Calvados), are enhanced by being served in Sensisplus glasses, as are fruit juices with pronounced acidity (orange, pineapple, lemon). There are also Sensisplus glasses for beer, champagne and espresso.
Is the decanting carafe now unnecessary?
No! For older wines with sediment, decanters are still recommended. Some people like the looks of decanters and consider them essential tools of fine wine service.
Will the Sensisplus glasses lose the specific effect one day?
No! It will keep this attribute permanently.
How should Sensisplus glasses be cleaned?
There are no special cleaning requirements. Wash them as you would other quality crystal glasses.
Can Sensisplus glasses be cleaned in the dishwasher?
Yes, undecorated Sensisplus glasses can be cleaned in the dishwasher without any problem. The Sensisplus effect does not get lost in the dishwasher. If the glasses are decorated by painting or the like, please follow the particular care instructions.
How are Sensisplus glasses packed?
The glasses are packed 6 to a carton. Beside that there is a special gift tube containing one glass per tube and a white gift box of 2 as well as the gift box “Cuveé” containing 2 glasses and a free space for a bottle of wine to be added.
